Unlike epoxy or paint, which sits on top of the concrete, polished concrete is the concrete. Through a rigorous multi-step mechanical process, we transform a dull, porous slab into a dense, reflective surface that rivals stone or terrazzo.

The Science of Shine
We don't take shortcuts. Our team is trained by industry leaders like Dynamic, Concrete Experts, and Extreme Epoxy to execute the proper "Cut and Clarify" process.
- Coarse Grinding: We use metal-bond diamonds to remove the "cap" of the concrete, leveling the floor and removing stains or old glues.
- Transition: We switch to hybrid tooling to remove scratches.
- Densifying: We apply a liquid lithium densifier. This reacts chemically with the concrete, making the surface significantly harder and more abrasion-resistant.
- Polishing: We make multiple passes with fine resin-bond diamonds (up to 3000 grit) to achieve your desired level of shine.
- Stain Guard: We finish with a penetrating guard to protect against spills.

Polished concrete isn't one-size-fits-all. You control the look based on two factors:
1. Aggregate Exposure (The "Rock" You See)
- Cream Polish: We barely grind the surface, leaving a uniform, cement-colored finish with little to no rock showing. (Most popular for modern homes).
- Salt & Pepper: We grind deeper to expose small sands and aggregates.

Polished Concrete FAQ
Is it slippery?
When dry, polished concrete provides excellent traction (similar to gymnasium wood floors). For wet areas like entryways, we recommend a lower grit polish or a sealer with anti-slip additives.
Can you polish old, cracked concrete?
Yes. We can repair cracks and spalling before polishing. However, the repairs will be visible, adding to the "rustic" industrial character of the floor. If you want a flawless, uniform color, consider Concrete Resurfacing.
How do I clean it?
Maintenance is simple. Just dust mop daily and wet mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Never use harsh acids or citrus cleaners.
