Step 1: The Diagnosis (Consultation & Moisture Test)
Before we touch a tool, we inspect the slab. Concrete in the Bay Area—from the foggy hills of San Francisco to the valleys of San Jose—acts like a hard sponge.
- Moisture Testing: We check for high moisture vapor transmission. If your concrete is "sweating," a standard coating will pop off in six months. We identify this early to recommend the right moisture-blocking primer.
- Hardness Test: We test the concrete's hardness (PSI) to choose the correct diamond tooling.

Step 2: The Grind (Surface Profiling)
This is the loud, dusty, hard work that separates the pros from the amateurs. We do not use acid etching (which adds water to the floor and is unreliable).
- Industrial Diamond Grinding: We use heavy-duty planetary grinders to mechanically remove the top layer of the concrete.
- Opening the Pores: The goal is to achieve a "CSP" (Concrete Surface Profile) of 2 or 3. Think of it like sanding wood before staining; the concrete pores must be open to soak up the epoxy.
- Old Coating Removal: We grind away old paint, glues, and failing sealers until we hit raw, clean concrete.
Step 3: The Reconstruction (Repair & Patching)
A coating will not hide a crack; it will mirror it. We treat the concrete as a canvas that must be perfect.
- Chasing Cracks: We use a diamond blade to open up hairline cracks, cleaning out debris.
- Mending: We fill cracks and divots with specialized poly-mender or epoxy paste. This material is often stronger than the concrete itself.
- Flush Grinding: Once the repairs cure, we grind them flat so they are invisible under your new floor.
Step 4: The Body (The Base Coat)
This is where the strength comes from. Based on our Step 1 analysis, we apply the structural layer.
- The Wicking Technology: We use deeply penetrating epoxy primers that soak into those open pores we created in Step 2. As this cures, it fuses with the concrete, creating a monolithic bond.
- The Aesthetic Layer: If you chose a Flake System, we broadcast the vinyl chips into this wet base coat until rejection (full coverage), ensuring extreme durability and texture.
- The Metallic Build: For Metallic floors, this is where the artistry happens, manipulating the pigments to create that signature marble flow.
Step 5: The Shield (Polyaspartic Top Coat)
We don't just use epoxy; we finish with Polyaspartic/Polyurea.
- Why Not Epoxy on Top? Standard epoxy can yellow under UV light (sunlight) and can scratch easily.
- The Polyaspartic Advantage: We apply a clear, high-performance Polyaspartic top layer. It is UV stable (won't yellow), chemical resistant (gas/oil won't hurt it), and provides that showroom gloss or satin finish you want.
- Texture: We can add anti-slip aggregates here to ensure your family or employees are safe, even when the floor is wet.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Process
Is it dusty?
We use industrial HEPA vacuums attached to our grinders to capture 98% of the concrete dust. It is a very clean process.
How long does it take?
While we can do 1-day installs for specific situations, we prefer a 2-day process to allow the base coat to properly "wick" into the concrete. We value longevity over speed.
Do I need to be home?
No. We can work via lockbox or code. We are fully insured and trustworthy.
